In 2023, Selma Judith finally returned with the singles “Mediocre” and “Eat Your Soul”, premiering on Danish music critic website Soundvenue accompanied by two impressive music videos heralding the next chapter of the Danish artist’s quite enchanting musical journey.

Selma Judith, a singer-songwriter as well as harp player, first introduced her unique and incredibly pleasant-sounding R&B universe in 2018 with the debut single “Kind of Lonely”. From there, things took off. In 2019, she was part of the Copenhagen music venue VEGA’s “Chosen” artists, that year also playing at international festivals like by:Larm and Best Kept Secret as well as debuting at Roskilde Festival.

Mind you that this all happened before Judith had even put out a full-length album. That came in 2021 in the form of the masterpiece “Getting Angry Baby”, which earned 5- and 6-star reviews, won “Best Album of the Year” by Danish daily Berlingske and found itself on several lists of the best records of 2021.

In many ways, Selma Judith is a devil-may-care artist who isn’t afraid to speak her piece, express anger or openly show her contempt for injustice. She has been lauded as “Name of the Year”, “Vocalist of the Year” and nominated for several other accolades at several award shows in Denmark.

We’re looking forward to inviting Selma Judith to the stage at NorthSide for the first time on Saturday June 8th.
