Donning the musical moniker URO, Jeppe Kronback is a young, emerging artist from the Copenhagen suburbs who taught himself to write, produce and rap so convincingly that he is currently taking the Danish music scene by storm.

URO broke through in 2020 with the EP I storslået kinddans, med livet som indsats, which included the single ‘Når Jeg Bliver Til Jord’ which later became Danish radio channel P3’s “Inevitable” hit for a week. Since then, Kronback has released a slew of singles, among them last year’s enchanting “Føles Godt” featuring Mekdes, which as of the time of writing has been streamed over 13 million times on Spotify alone.

There is a certain kind of calmness and reflection to URO’s music. This is thanks to the dreamy, urban pop landscape of his compositions, but especially because of the completely honest, soulful lyrics which are taken directly from Kronback’s own life. They depict heartbreaking stories from the past, but always with a light on the horizon promising better days ahead.

Lean back and let go as URO is bound to envelop NorthSide in longing pop melodies this summer.
