Benjamin Clementine sounds like no one else…

Yes, he’s been compared to artists like Nina Simone and Rufus Wrainwright, and yet everyone agrees that he’s a singer and songwriter out of musical category.

It might be due to the timelessness of his sound which bears witness to the fact that he lists classical composers like Debussy, Satie, and Chopin alongside icons like Leonard Cohen, Jimi Hendrix, Nick Cave, and Tom Waits as inspiration.

Benjamin Clementine released his debut album At Least For Now in 2015 earning him the prestigious Mercury Prize, that he was nominated for alongside acts like Florence + The Machine, Jamie xx, and Wolf Alice.

In October 2023, he gifted us with his much anticipated third record And I have Been – the first part of an album trilogy in which he touches upon topics such as love, loss, marriage, depression, fatherhood, and denial of his own roots.

In 2021 Benjamin Clementine also entered the world of acting when he debuted in the role of Herald of the Change in Denis Villeneuve’s 6-times Oscar-winning movie ‘Dune’ from 2021.
