You’d have to look long to find the same level of innovation, originality, creativity, and ambition as Annie Clark aka St. Vincent has presented since her debut album Marry Me came out in 2007.

Hailed as the 26th best guitarist of all times by Rolling Stone, St. Vincent previously toured with Sufjan Stevens as part of his band, but rose to fame with her solo project that saw her break into Top-20 at the Billboard Top 200 list in 2011 with her third record Strange Mercy and win her first GRAMMY for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ in 2014 after the release of her self-titled record St. Vincent.

St. Vincent is one of those artists that keep surprising in the best possible ways. Thus, when she released the album MASSEDUCTION in 2017 it instantly stood out as a masterpiece and one of the absolute best records released that year. The album rightfully earned her another GRAMMY.

Last year, it happened again. St. Vincent released her sixth record Daddy’s Home hailed in a four-star Rolling Stone review as “a mutant strain of retro pop steeped in New York lore”. The GRAMMY-winning record once again cemented St. Vincent as one of the best artists in modern music history.

St. Vincent will play at NorthSide on Saturday June 8th.
