British pioneer Slowdive has long been hailed as one of the most important bands of the shoegaze scene that defined a big part of the alternative rock sound in the UK during the early 1990s and still plays a big role in the shaping of today’s rock music.

Slowdive has always proven their unique ability to paint reflective and experimental soundscapes with hints of everything from dreampop and indie rock to ambient and post-punk.

The group’s second studio record, Souvlaki, from 1993 has been praised as one of the best albums of the 90s and one of the greatest shoegaze albums of all times.

On their latest release, everything is alive, from September 2023, Slowdive works with both psychedelic elements and influences from the 80s’ pulsating electronic music scene. Once again, they’ve landed at an intriguing place for all lovers of alternative rock, and we can’t wait to see their music unfold at NorthSide.
