This summer, the Icelandic icon will play her first concert in Aarhus in 25 years

Through four decades Björk has been one of the world’s most inventive, challenging, creative, and fascinating artists, who at the same time has succeeded in captivating millions of people through music ranging from experimental and abstract to captivating and glorious – and this summer she will be back in Aarhus for the first time in 25 years.

Since the days of The Sugarcubes, Björk has found chart success with songs like “Human Behavior”, “Army of Me”, “It’s Oh So Quiet”, and “Bachelorette”, while also winning the starring role in Lars von Trier’s “Dancer in the Dark”, which secured her the award for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival.

Björk will release her new album “Utopia” later this year. It has been described as a love album that follows the gorgeous divorce album “Vulnicura” from 2015, which was universally lauded and called a masterpiece by Danish music magazine GAFFA. After the release of “Utopia” in late November, the sensational singer will embark on a tour which will bring her to NorthSide to give her first Danish concert in six years – and the first in Aarhus since she played Kosmopolitan during Aarhus Festival Week in 1993 only two months after the release of “Debut”.

Björk will play NorthSide Thursday June 7th at NorthSide 2018.

So far, the following acts have been released to NorthSide 2018: A Perfect Circle – Aurora – Björk – Cigarettes After Sex – Deerhunter – Father John Misty – Queens of the Stone Age – Sleaford Mods – The National – Tyler, The Creator.

NorthSide 2018 runs from the 7th till 9th of June in Aarhus, and tickets can be bought here.
