When we kick off on June 2nd, the festival will take place in the brand new and much bigger festival site Eskelunden. The expansion has made it possible to live out the vision of a new customized stage for electronic music – CamelPhat, ARTBAT, Kölsch, Pete Tong and Ashibah amongst the 16 new names added to the lineup

ELECTRA isn’t just a place you go to for a single show now and then. ELECTRA is a vibe! It’s a universe that you can drift away to: A chill area by day and a massive outdoor dancefloor by night.

The area in front of the stage will fit at least 4.000 partying festival guests and both the stage as well as the area surrounding it have been built with great use of reused materials such as wood and plastic, emphasizing the increased focus on sustainability that characterizes our Festival.

A celebration of the flourishing global house and techno scene

Alongside the launch of this new festival stage, the main part of the lineup has been announced which means that 16 new electronic acts have been added to the official NorthSide poster. The artists have been handpicked out of the absolute top drawer of Danish and international electronic artists, mainly within genres like house/techno, tech house, indie dance and sub genres alike reflecting the current global trends.

Headliners count artists such as UK act CamelPhat, the Ukrainian duo ARTBAT, the iconic radio-DJ Pete Tong and local Danish act Kölsch who’ll only be playing a limited amount of Danish shows this year. In the company of some truly exciting upcoming artists, the crowd will have great possibilities of dancing the night away to their biggest idols and falling in love with new musical discoveries.

The lineup for ELECTRA is found away from the familiarities of radio waves and Spotify algorithms. It forces huge rave parties where the many colors of techno are honored with music ranging from melancholia and soft melodies to rough synth cuts and great climaxes, booker Peter Kjær says on the lineup. He adds:

ELECTRA is tailored for the picky, quality-minded raver as well as all the curious souls out there searching for a deeper electronic experience in an international scale. With the launch of ELECTRA, the city of Aarhus and NorthSide Festival will finally claim a spot on the global techno-map.

The lineup takes shape

The first Danish and international artists for the festival’s other stages have already been announced and count massive acts such as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Lewis Capaldi, Disclosure, girl in red, Danish pop sensation Jada, and latest the most wished-for artist, local rock heroes The Minds of 99. The festival also announces a change in the program as New York rapper Princess Nokia unfortunately have had to cancel her appearance at NorthSide this year.
