The danish festival has added the legendary rocker to the line-up alongside sacramento’s own Deftones, the reunited Bloc Party, Caribou, Yeasayer, and danish rock trio Velvet Volume

Iggy Pop has released records since 1968, either with band The Stooges including such classics as “I Wanna Be Your Dog”, “No Fun”, “Search & Destroy”, “Raw Power”, or as a solo artist giving us “Nightclubbing”, “The Passenger” “Lust for Life”, and “Real Wild Child”.

He was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame with The Stooges, he has recorded the ground breaking albums “The Idiot” and “Lust for Life” with David Bowie, and he is still today one of the most captivating performers ever seen on a stage. Iggy Pop is undoubtedly a living legend, and this June he will appear for the first time at NorthSide.

Iggy Pop will be joined by Deftones, who for the last twenty years have released incredible records that blend add noise rock elements to their unique take on metal. Also added is Bloc Party, who will release their highly anticipated new album “Hymns” next year.

Canadian electronic act Caribou are added alongside Yeasayer from Brooklyn and the hottest new Danish rock act right now – Velvet Volume.

The six new acts are added to a bill that already includes Beck, Beach House, Sigur Rós, Wilco, Yelawolf and more.
