Heavy Beat Brass Band are an 8-piece contemporary New Orleans brass band based in the UK, bringing second line rhythms and modern street energy to major festival stages.

They’ve appeared at Shambala, Boomtown, Download Festival, Rudolstadt Festival (Germany) and Derry Jazz Festival, and regularly double as the horn section for Electric Swing Circus’ Big Band of Boom.

Rooted in the New Orleans playbook but built for UK festival crowds, their set blends classic brass band repertoire with heavyweight arrangements and explosive improvisation. The result is high-impact, call-and-response driven shows designed to move a crowd — loud, physical and impossible to ignore.

This is not background jazz. It’s organised chaos, delivered with precision.
