White Lies were supposed to play the 2020 edition of NorthSide, but as we all remember (or try to forget) that never happened. We’re therefore delighted to now invite the trio back to Aarhus!
White Lies’ impressive career kicked off with the 2009 debut album To Lose My Life which quickly went number One in the UK and made the band one of the biggest breakthrough bands of the decade. But it wasn’t only a UK thing… The cult guitar band has been a beloved live act here in Denmark since the beginning, selling out venues across the country.
Since the announcement of White Lies to NorthSide 2020, the band have released their sixth studio album, As I Try Not Yo Fall Apart, featuring productions from Claudius Mittendorfer (Panic! At The Disco, Weezer, Parquet Courts). It once again shows a band in constant development although holding on to their unmistakable sound and existential lyrical universe.
We can’t wait to welcome back Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave and Jack Lawrence-Brown to NorthSide!
White Lies will play Saturday 3 June at NorthSide 2023.
