How do you know for sure that people are interested in the stuff you’re playing these days? Well, if people shazam it, you know they’re hooked.
Despite the global meltdown, 2020 actually turned out to be one of the best years for disco and house-producer Purple Disco Machine. The German artist released his single “Hypnotized” which landed as #9 on the global Shazam Chart and has been streamed more than 270 million times on Spotify.
The follow-up “Fireworks” was an instant hit as well, and they weren’t one-hit-wonders. Today, Purple Disco Machine stands as one of the strongest new voices of his generation of electronic producers with over 850 million streams, millions of monthly listeners, and the title as the Beatport #2 Artist of All Time.
Tino Piontek, the man behind, started his career in 2009. In 2013 he got his big breakthrough with ”My House”, and in 2017 he released the record Soulmatic with massive songs like “Body Funk” and “Devil in Me”.
Besides from his impressive catalogue of own productions, Purple Disco Machine is also an in-demand remixer, and he’s remixed for the likes of Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande, Mark Ronson, Dua Lipa, Elton John, Foals, Gorillaz, New Order and Fatboy Slim – to name a few.
