It’s been a common statement that the era of Danish rock has ended, but luckily that’s not going to happen now. Not on PRISMAs watch.

The sisters, Frida and Sirid Møl Kristensen, really kicked off things with their second EP Inside Out from 2021. The EP earned them an impressive 6/6-star review from Danish music outlet GAFFA who also gave their first ever Copenhagen headline show 5 stars. Quickly afterwards, labels, festivals, and radio stations started calling, and the track “Seven Greedy Girls” even ended up being the most played song at national radio station P6 Beat that same year.

The sisters have been writing music together since 2014. Sitting in their childhood home in Odense and inspired by artists like The Raveonettes, Agnes Obel and Trentemøller, they created their distinct, cinematic and atmospheric sound. Characterized by their two-part vocal harmonies adding a dreamy layer to the noisy guitars, their onstage presence is as noteworthy as their music with the pair all dressed in black and white matching the contrast of their sound.

We fully understand why PRISMA was named ‘New Danish Live Act of the Year’ at the 2022 Danish Music Awards and expect the roof of NOVA to blow off when PRISMA takes the stage.

PRISMA will play Saturday 3 June at NorthSide 2023.
