Local Danish act Henri Matisse takes ELECTRA on a sonic journey through the many shapes of techno

Henrik Mathiassen has taken his name from a certain French painter and has been a well-known name in the Danish electronic music scene for more than two decades.

He started his career in the late 90s with a weekly show at a local radio in Aarhus before he switched things up and took the music out of the studio and onto the sweaty dancefloors of the local Danish clubs.

Now, Henri Matisse has travelled the world, been a resident DJ in the high-end Copenhagen club Arch, and – last but not least – won 2nd place in the world’s biggest DJ competition BURN Residency at Ibiza.
