Hans Philip is a unique talent. Few succeed in making deeply personal and introvert R&B that still resonates with a wide audience. But he does. In fact, he does it so well that he broke all records in the legendary Copenhagen venue VEGA when he sold out six (!!!) days in a row.
Hans Philip was part of shaping the sound of Danish hip hop as a rapper and one part of the newly reunited duo Ukendt Kunstner up through the 2010s. However, in 2019 he debuted as a solo artist with the dreamy Forevigt, and last year he released the double album A&B. On both records, he proves himself to be an artist who’s gone from rap genius to vulnerable R&B-singer but stayed true to the kind of honest and reflective lyrics he’s always been praised for.
